Humble, Texas · License TACLA023312C · Since 1978
Aaron Mechanical has cooled and heated north Houston since 1978.
Merle Aaron Sr. founded the company. His son Merle Aaron Jr. runs it today. Air conditioning, heating, refrigeration and ventilation for houses and for commercial buildings, out of 45 Wilson Rd. in Humble.

Three generations
The same family name has been on these trucks for 47 years.
Aaron Mechanical is an independent contractor, not a factory branch, so the recommendation follows the load and the budget rather than a quota. Every employee passes a background check at hire, the company runs a drug free workplace with random testing, and it carries $2,000,000.00 in liability coverage.
What we install
Aaron Mechanical publishes its own specifications, so you can compare like for like.
Most quotes hand you a model number. These are the three air conditioning tiers we fit, written out the way we write them for our own customers.

Five RUUD Commercial Series packaged units, set and commissioned on one north Houston roof.
- GoodUp to 16.00 SEER
- R410a, lifetime cabinetry, louvered coil cover, a 10 year compressor warranty and 5 years on the other parts. The straightforward replacement when a system has simply reached the end.
- BetterUp to 18.00 SEER
- Adds a two stage scroll compressor, a variable speed condenser motor, comfort alert diagnostics and on demand dehumidification, with the 10 year warranty extended to all parts.
- BestUp to 20.00 SEER
- The same two stage compressor with an ECM two speed condenser motor. Runs longer and slower, which is what actually pulls humidity out of a Gulf coast house.
- Return
01
Read the air going in
A thermometer in the return drop gives the baseline. Everything after this is measured against that number, not against how the house feels.
- Supply
02
Read the air coming out
The difference between the two is the split. A healthy system on a summer afternoon in Humble lands somewhere near 18 degrees.
- Narrow
03
A small split means the coil is not working
Low refrigerant, a fouled evaporator, a filter nobody changed. The number tells the technician where to look before anything is opened up.
- Wide
04
A wide split means the air is not moving
Restricted ducts, a failing blower, a closed return. The same reading points the other direction, which is why it is on the maintenance checklist twice a year.

A job on the roof
A changeout you only get one shot at.
Replacing packaged equipment on an occupied building is a rigging problem before it is a mechanical one. The old unit comes off the curb, the new one lands on it, and the building expects to be cool again the same afternoon. Aaron Mechanical has been doing this work in north Houston long enough that Merle Aaron Jr. has served on the RUUD Product Panel and as a past President of the Houston ACCA chapter.

Excellent service during last 20+ years. Very knowledgeable & dependable. Chris & others did a great job of replacing return system ducts & also one media filter kit. Jesse also later treated the AC condensate lines & evaporator coils with cleaners. Merle & all of the team very proficient & pleasant to work with, including office personnel Kasey, Christian, & others.
