Aaron Mechanical has designed, installed and serviced air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, indoor air quality and ventilation out of 45 Wilson Rd. since Merle Aaron Sr. founded the company in 1978. The five lines below are published the way we write them for our own customers, not as model numbers on a quote.

Air conditioning

Three SEER tiers, published side by side

Good tops out at 16.00 SEER on R410a refrigerant, with lifetime cabinetry, a louvered coil cover and a 10 year compressor warranty. Better and Best climb to 18.00 and 20.00 SEER, extend that warranty to every part for 10 years, and add a two stage scroll compressor with comfort alert diagnostics and on demand dehumidification. Best finishes with an ECM two speed condenser motor, which is what actually pulls humidity out of a Gulf coast house instead of just cooling the air in it.

Heating

80% AFUE behind a 20 year heat exchanger warranty

Both furnace tiers run at 80% AFUE behind a stainless or aluminized heat exchanger in a low profile 34 inch cabinet, with direct spark ignition and a sensor rather than a standing pilot. The heat exchanger itself carries a 20 year warranty. Best steps up to a two stage high and low fire burner with an ECM variable speed blower motor and on demand dehumidification, built to run longer and quieter through a north Houston winter that still drops below freezing some years.

Commercial

Packaged rooftop equipment, crane set and commissioned

Replacing packaged equipment on an occupied building is a rigging problem before it is a mechanical one. A crane lifts the old unit off the curb, the new one lands in its place, and the building expects to be cool again the same afternoon. Our own photographs show five RUUD Commercial Series units set and commissioned on one north Houston roof in a single day, and a separate changeout beside an aging Carrier package unit it replaced. Merle Aaron Jr. has served on the RUUD Product Panel and as a past President of the Houston ACCA chapter, which is the kind of standing that gets called for the buildings other contractors turn down.

Maintenance Agreement

Energy Savings Maintenance Agreements from $16.95 a month

Two tune ups a year against a fixed 14 point checklist: cleaning the coils, condensate pans, blower compartment and burner assembly, blowing out the drains and adding chemical tabs, then checking temperature differential, thermostat operation, filters, motor volts and amps, the duct system and circuit boards, refrigerant pressures and the heat exchanger. Agreement holders get 15% off any flat rate repair while it runs, and if the system breaks down under agreement, 10% off the repair or off new equipment.

Smart Thermostats

Four brands, all with app control

RUUD EcoNet, Honeywell Home on the Total Connect Comfort app, the Emerson Sensi Touch, and Google Nest. All four schedule themselves and take app control. EcoNet and Nest go a step further and report energy history, flagging the settings that are quietly costing you money every month.
